Maryland DUI Lawyers

There are two different drinking and driving penalties in the state of Maryland.  You can be convicted of a DUI (driving under the influence) with a BAC (blood alcohol concentration) of above .08.

These penalties include having your license suspended for up to 45 days and fines up to $1000.  In addition you can also be sentenced to one year in jail on a first offense.

The other conviction is called a DWI (driving while impaired).  You can be convicted of a DWI if your BAC is .07.  Fines include up to $500 and six months in jail.
